I'm new here and PR is relatively a new term to me. but all I see are people trying to get their links in PR3+ directories and backlinks galore.. wont google figure out that just because some empty blog or page is sitting on a bunch of PR3 directories, doesn't mean its a great site?
Usually some weight is given to directories that manually review entries - i.e. ensuring a list a minimum quality of website they link to, which can be used an indicator.
I suppose. but there are surely many high ranking pages that are only there because of backlinks, directory submission, etc.
That is an outrageous statement. These directories and blogs do pass on pr. Alot has to do with the relevance though.
outrageous statment? lol I dont know about that. I'll bet my life all of us can go find a PR4 site that has little to no content. right?
Google's system is not yet perfect. Many sites got high PR though these sites only have a page available for reading. Regarding directories, your link will be added in the inner pages. Some of these pages have PR0.
Did you understand what he said? He said they will register the link but there will be no PR increase from the link.
What ever you done back links from forums, blogs, directory, link exchange, but you can build quality with relevant links, then sure it helps to you.
