I have seen this new theme on some certain country. ie. Google.ru, Google.co.in (from India ip based proxy), Google.de. However, I do not like it personally. I do not like left sidebar, but the worse is header and numbers. The oldie one look much better anyway.

I too like the older and default Google theme. Google has been famous for not using graphics very much as it is great with texts and accurate web results. Of course they might be testing the new theme to figure out how many people would comment positively on that.

Thanks for the picture... though I have never managed to see one live, myself. I am also a liker of the old and clean theme of google and love their clean page strategy! :)

This is called Google Jazz, I've blogged about this 2 months ago - read here

This is how Google wants to move forward, traditional search results looks good for now, but they have to keep with the pace and competition, FB is one of them believe it or not

In Poland, few people have already reported that the code has a new structure and some programs (check position, the quantity of site, etc.) can't cope with the new theme

    Totally agreed!!

Yeah I'm not a fan of it personally :( Call me old fashioned but their old theme is easy on the eye and I'm used to it.
If you want to change to the old theme use this url: http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=all&tab=iw

    http://www.google.com/webhp?hl=all&tab=iw
    Code (markup):
just add it to your home page setting in your favourite browser

Yet again, another pointless change. As already stated by a previous poster, dont fix something that aint broke.

The theme's OK but some of the changes have broken my screen scraper code after a few years of stability.
