google and indexed page problem

    hello i want to ask if anybody know whats the problem with google indexing i mean alot of forums and sites had around 100 000 page indexed in google and the number droped to 10000 or even much less am talking about general problem alot of ppl talking about it and alot of ppl having that problem on there sites and forums so what do u think the problem is and does anyone here have the same problem

    I do have the same problem,
    Google deletes useless pages, pages that have little contents, or no backlinks to them. For example, member profile pages, quote, reply, ...

    Google also deletes pages for duplicate content.

    hmmmmmm i see so as i heard google in reindexing the datacenters and deleting the pages with low contents and have no pr and backlink but the importent question is will google re-index???? those pages imagine a site with 100 000 indexed page now got less then 8000 page thats something really wierd

    and by the way thats start to happen since more then month so if google is reindexing shouldnt that be done or at less the droped number of indexed page start to grow even a little cuz alot of ppl affired to lose there archived pages in google

    Search google for

    site:your site.com/*

    and then using

    site:your site.com/

    You will see a difference in the number of pages indexed. The pages you see with this command

    site:your site.com/*

    are the pages that are actually included in search results, all other pages are indexed but you will not see them in search results.

    thx angilina for passing and explain that to me and i hope that re-indexing to be done soon cuz that making alot of problem for ppl who care's for indexed pages number
