A new radio commercial just caught my ear. It was for the mobile/wireless company Helio, and the slogan was "Get Google Maps In Your Pants!" I'm not rushing out to sign up, I'm pretty selective about who gets in my pants . Does anyone at DP actually think this makes a worthwhile and effective commercial? It's great free advertising for King Goo (unless they paid for part of it). Any thoughts??
Yes, it was. The quote I gave was exactly what they said. They are trying to say it's convenient to have Google Maps linked to your Wireless Service.
I think its convient but not at the top of the list when I am looking for a wireless device or carrier.
What do you look for? I'm interested in the industry. ^^^^^^^ I should have mentioned this 'Helio' company is burning up big bucks on radio promotion. A popular station in Chicago is 100% commercial free for three hours right now. 'Helio' sponsors the prime time slot, and places an ad at the beginning and end of the three hours. I wonder if Google paid for, or even knows about, the get 'Google Maps In Your Pants!' ads??
^^I'm pretty sure they know about those ads, no one would risk making an advert using google's name without their permission
