    Google and dynacic pages ?

i don't know if this has been asked before... did a serch for it and might have not searched for the right terms *sigh* so will ask

    example
    guestbook.cgi is PR4
    guestbook.cgi? PR1 (40+ pr 4 pages pointing to it)
    guestbook.cgi?start_number=7 that has (100+ PR 4) + (3 + pr5 pages) pointing at it is still PR 1

    questions are this.

    dynamic pages...

does the tool bar show correct?
how to get PR for dynamic pages
does google lower serps for dynamic?
should i change to mod rewrite ?
how mant pages of PR4 pointing to a URL with a ? in it does it take to make it PR3 ?

it's not the guest book i am bothered about... it's another script but same differance.

This is not a problem of dynamic pages per se -- it's a problem of different URLs.

Leaving out the dynamic factor, you will often see a difference in PR for the following:

    http://www.domain.com
    http://www.domain.com/
    http://www.domain.com/index.html

The trick is to keep your backlinks (including your internal links) as consistent as possible to concentrate the PR onto the most common form, probably http://www.domain.com ...

That said, as to the issue of dynamic vs. static pages, you get PR for that URL form the same way you do for any page -- see previous paragraph and this:

if you can mod_rewrite its good.

someone can probably go into more detail but only 1 weight is given per site which is like site.cgi?page=1 page=2 ect... at least in my exp.
