Google and domain extention?

I am wondering if the extention of domain has an impact on google ranking? If yes, what is the most desirable domain extension for web site?

 

No it does not have any impact on domain extension, but most desirable domain extension is .com and specially if you have premium domain name (p.e.: apple.com house.com, dating.com, ect ) with .com extension.

Some .info do very well on search.
I think .com is good because if you take laymen and people who are not net geeks then
for them a website is usally a .com

It's more on quality and uniqueness of the content, as well as site construction and it's coding.

.com is the most desirable one. It is a good one to start with. As your business grow you could consider related ones like org or net.

 

i think .com is good. I am not sure but if domain is country wise then it can affect in google's serps for that particularly country domain of google.

Even though my traffic keeps increasing and I registered the domain for a couple of years in advance, I don't think it has any impact on SERP.

Local hosting and domain with country's extension and content of local language, e.g. German, would help to go up in Google.de

but if you're aming for USA/English speaking, .com is best t start with.
