Google and closed forum?

    I was thinking of closing my forum to the *public* for 2 days and then opening back up to the public.

    I realize Google wont be able to see anything during these two days but will this hurt my site in any way?

    I wouldn't recommend this. Google doesn't like to not be able to access a site or its pages. You would have a good chance of temporarily losing your search engine rankings.

    I am also of the opinion that this is very risky.
