OK, I need to install Analytics into my wordpress blog, but I'm not very technical at all, I mean I had to pay someone to upload everything to my servers
So, how do I put the Analytics code in without screwing everything up.
The URL, incase you need to know it, is www.thesportwriter.com
Thanks in advance for your help...
    Simon

In your WP theme folder, open footer.php. Paste the Analytics code right before </body>. That should do it. If you have problems let me know.

Where will the wordpress theme folder be?
In my hosting files, or in the wordpress admin section?
Like I say, I got someone to upload it for me so I don't really know

actually the best thing for you to do is to go in the admin section, go to design (assuming you're using WP 2.x), then click on theme editor. then on the right it will show footer.php. you can edit it right there assuming your permissions are correct to edit on the server.

    Super simple!!!!
I am a sports blogger as well

Make a text widget that you will just use for code.
Put the code in that widget. Refresh and delete any cache you might have.

That should work like a charm :)

Does anyone know how to get analytics working on the newest version of WP as i have tried the many plugins available but it still does not work, i think it is because the newest WP disables javascript.

Why do you still need to install the codes in your server? I mean, Analytics' given code doesn't have to be hard. You can just put the code in your footer area. And wait up to 48 hours for Google to crawl your site. That's what I am doing in my wordpress blogs. :)
