    Hello,

I have a question about Google Analytics.

I installed it today on my website and in my Google Analytics account it is saying:

    " Waiting for Data
Analytics has been successfully installed and data is being gathered now. "

My question is if I can see immediately in my reports when someone has visited my website or not? I mean if someone visits my website right now then could I see it in next 2 minutes that someone was on my website?

    Regards,
    ameran

Nop, its not real time information. You usually have to wait a few hours for the stats to start to show.

You can check the current visitors on your site from your cPanel... or else if you dont have that option you can use Site Meter

Unfortunately not. The hourly view is great, but you need to wait a few hours to get the data.

I'd say real time data could be a feature in the future, but if AdWords and AdSense have not got it implemented yet, we could be waiting a while.

Mine seems to update once a day, at about 12.

Can you get it to update hourly?

It can take up to two days for stats for a specific day to be completely reported. I typically find that my stats for a day are about 80% complete the next day and 100% complete by the end of the second day.

That would take really massive computational power even by Google's standards.

I would have to say that mine updates about every 3-4 hours. I have adjusted my stat checking schedule to that, and I check my stats about 3 times a day. Once in the morning, at lunchtime, and later at night. Like others above have said, it might take up to 48 hours to see any data when you first set it up on your site.
