google analytics vs webalizer

    hi,

    I run a proxy site. Google Analytic show that 400 visitors came to my websites.

    heres what Webalizer show :

    15
    Hits :96478 20.28%
    Files :86230 20.50%
    Pages: 92501 20.20%
    Visits:11774 20.11%
    Sites :2926 24.72%
    Kilo: 5402191 29.16%

    So how can i have 500% more visitors?

    Is there any form of hotlinking in phproxy 0.52 i dont know?

    webalizer/angolizer runs on REAL loglines processed
    hence i definitely trust my own stats far more than analytics that depends on pageloads being forwarded via www/javascript and eventually being processed or NOT.

    your own access_log lines show effective access on your site i.e. really served pages and pagerequests

    if u are using the old versions of webalizer, however you should update your webalizer.conf with current data to get the maximum out of your stats

    for example:
    all data centers
    all query strings
    all referrers

    for that reason i run myself since years the upgraded angolizer version of webalizer
