Hello Friend As i think that both has the its own importance as i used both the software. For analysis purpose Google analytics is better and to know the exact location with IP stat counter is used....
I haven't used StatCounter, but I'm thinking of switching over. Google Analytics drives me nuts. It can show you a lot of generalizations, but nothing specific. For example, if you have a goal conversion (i.e. a sale) and you want to find out what keyword they typed in, you have to go through hoops to get it. Also even though you have GA code on every page, you can't see a walkthrough of what pages that person visited. It's also a little flakey. For example, even though I have it set up with my Adwords account, it shows me adwords traffic for ALL my domains, not just the one I am looking at, unless I put a filter to exclude all other domains. Here's another flakey thing: I have two profiles for the same domain. One has an additional filter on it to exclude my IP address. So why does that profile show MORE visitors than the profile for all IPs? Beats me. I saw posts on other threads with the same question; it makes no sense. I agree that I don't like Big Brother knowing everything I'm doing. But it's true that GA works better for monitoring conversions than SC. I have a post that's a little GA rant at internetmarketingkultch.com (look for Google Analytics in the menu)
According to me Google analytic is the good which provide free more features, comparison to statcounter.
I was using analytics previously and it made me worried about my website. It says I get only 9-10 visits daily, but when I started using stat counter, I was feeling good as it showed I get 200-250 uv daily. Ah, that made me feel free. Analytics sucks, Stat Counter Rockz
how do you see exactly which page from the referral site did your visitor come from and how do you see the ip address of the user in google analytics Also how do you track the path of each visitor his visit length etc.
Statcounter is just a simple hit counter, it's probably useful for small sites. They also don't keep the logs for long. Analytics on the other hand has lots of features and also allows you to look at trends because they don't delete your data.
