Google Analytics Visitor Counts do not match with Statcounter or Adsense

Hi,

I am a bit confused as to why I would get a Session and User count of 200+ a day but on Adsense and statcounter, it's only showing about 10 Visitors. Are these visitors being lost somewhere?

Can someone point out the reason behind this?

Recently there is a wave of spam stats in google analytics, it might be why you see more data in analytics.
To check that, go to
Acquisition > source/medium and search for any site similar to these:
social-buttons.com
free-share-buttons.com

the stats from these site is fake, it is not real visitors to the site and that can effect what you see.

Note that you will never see same stats in different platforms as some users are excluded form tracking, some have ad blocker etc'

 

I have a lot that says "Direct" but none of these shows up as hits on my Statcounter or Adsense Impressions. I do have a few from the bots also but it's only like 5% of the hits. Most are from Direct s.

If you want to know your website exact stats , try adsmeans.com. Please note you can not see the proxy,spam and low quality traffic in your account.

 

Google Analytics might have included spam bots too in the statistics... you should get awstats for detailed statistics report

There may be some below reasons:

• AdSense reports in Analytics only track AdSense for content ad units, and do not include link units, search boxes, mobile ads, or any other AdSense products.
• You must include Analytics code on every webpage running AdSense for content ad units.

I have noticed something similar....what I use now is the Plugin Jetpack, this gives me up to date stats, keywords that have been searched for and where exactly my traffic is coming from! Its free and has loads of other cool options and things that you can use to make your site better....just an idea!
