    Hey everyone,
in order to completely learn the new Google Analytics interface myself, and shar the knowledge with everyone, I'm going through page by page, function by function, and explaining it in detail on one of my blogs.

So, if you have any questions about basic or advanced usage of Google Analytics post them here, and I'll respond to them with an article/tutorial in my Google Analytics tutorials section (if I haven't already)

you could have provided some screen shots of it in the article!

Also the old Google analytics will not be available after July 18th!

I've provided many screenshots, just click on any one of the articles to see that.

I'm not using the old interface

Do you have any experience of getting Goals and Funnels working?

I've been trying for ages to get GA to track when an order is placed but the most I've been able to achieve so far is track when the customer first enters the shopping cart - very frustrating! :(

Thanks for the article. I got 3 sites to track but i also rely on wordpress' blog stats feature. Google Analytics is quite accurate though.

Thank you, this is really helpful. I have some websites in HTML and am thinking about moving to wordpress. Can you tell me more about adding the code.
I have seen your article about it here http://blog.convurgency.com/570/how-to-add-google-analytics-to-your-website/ but I would like to know where exactly should I add that (only in the footer will work for all posts ?).

    Thank you.

Yes, just add the code to footer.php in your chosen theme. Do you know where that is?

What would you like a video tutorial of?

    Video Tutorial -

Very good idea, as G's tutorial isn't very clear on where you get the information to make funnels and goals dealing with dynamic sites, php, etc.

You may need several examples, as there are many shopping carts out there to choose from. Look at that... a good content idea for ya. :D

Anyways, I run mals e-commerce, and set up the funnels and goals myself, but mals shopping cart system already has a place for google analytics. So, I don't even know if what I did was correct. Should run a test sometime.

For those dynamic sites, don't you have to modify some header info or something like that? Make it clear to your audience that some of this stuff is for advanced users and that you're not responsible for anything that go's wrong, as they'll be editing files.

Your idea is a good one, as long as you keep everything crisp and clear so that the average moron can figure it all out.

    Good luck!
