    Hello

I recently have made a complete change to my site from A to B. It is an ecommerce site and the old design has been completely changed - meta tags and descriptions on products pages and vast amount of text content is the same, its just a lot of new features, new css, new xhtml design has been added. Traffic has dropped to 0-3 visits a day from 100+ average.. is this normal since I launched the site, the next few days it just dropped out of the sky?

The URLs of your subpages remain the same? If not make sure you are using 301 redirect from the old URLs to the new. Anyway, even with the 301 redirect you may notice significant traffic drop for a few days.

I would say this has to be your code. I would recopy and paste the GA code onto your site. The reason I say this is because if your numbers posted above are accurate it would suggest that at least 97% of your previous traffic comes from Google alone. I've never seen a site like that.

Don't worry. It will start regaining traffic after sometime.

It is not normal, to answer your question, that is because you did not split design and content, as soon as you change anything in the .html then google is going to rank it as a new page. Therefore try to keep your content and only change the .css file.

I think the reason why your traffic (in google analytic report) has been down because you forget to put your analytic code on your new design. Double check your code if it still there and let us know

Yup, most likely reason would seem to be the code... it would be the only explanation for such a marked drop. Go to Analytics, check out your code, and search for it in the site (if its gone, re-add it, and wait for GA to gather new data).
