    Hi,

Do you use the site overlay feature within google analytics? If yes, do you think its reliable?. I have 4 links on my landing page (The links take the visitors to the sales page) and have received about 125 unique visits to this landing page. Yet, the site overlay on GA shows 0% clicks on all 4 of the links? I also have 1 sale.

Am I reading it all wrong?

    Thank You

Are you getting traffic to the other pages?

How are the buttons coded? I know Google has trouble tracking some kinds of buttons (don't know which, but I'm sure there are techies around here who can tell you)...

My 4 outgoing links are to my affiliate's sales page and I dont have any other links on the page to distract the user. The time spent on my landing page is close to 2 mins and the bounce rate is about 50%.

Do these affiliates' pages have your code on?

The analytics tracks the pages that people move to, not the buttons that they click on. For example, if you have two links to the same page, the clicks for both will be aggregated and awarded to both links...

There is actually a way to track outbound links.
I have it working on my blog using wordpress plugin, but I haven't actually researched how to do it.
    Pay me now.

have a look at crazyegg for site overlays and heat spots. One advantage that it has - maybe not applicable to your originally query but useful - is it will show when people are trying to click on something that's not clickable. I found this very useful to alert me on one website that people were assuming a small picture was a thumbnail and kept trying to click it even though it didn't do anything!

Why do I have to have put my code in the merchants page? I just want to know which of the 4 links on my page, the visitor clicked on to get to the merchants page.

PPC-Coach, I checked, its installed correctly.

Thanks for mentioning crazyegg, I had wanted to check it out some time back..but it slipped my mind.
