Not sure if its been mentioned before, but I just noticed the Site Overlay function in Google Analytics- pretty impressive, and very useful click tracking.
Nice... looks like they re-enabled it today. It was disabled because of "load issues" at the same time they disabled new signups. It's certainly one of the best reports... glad it made it back. Now if they would just up the 5 profile limit, I'd be all set......
Holy crap that is awsome Yea I am at 5 right now too.. lucky I dont have anymore sites to add as of now though
I asked this in another thread but didnt get a reply as its hidden away and off topic so I'll quickly ask here. I added 10 sites to mine when I first started using GA the first day it came out. I just added code to 2 more of those sites but its been "Waiting for data" for over 1 week now. Is it because they arent collecting data from new sites, or some other reason?
Anyone else see this yet? Looks kind of cool to me. It visually maps traffic to an overlay of your site...
It's very helpful in determining the best spots to place your links. If a link is doing well and it's towards the bottom of the page, MOVE IT UP and it can only do better.
I put my AdWords investments on hold until I can get some tracking setup for my online stores, but yeah, Analytics is the only reason I'm going to continue using AdWords. Great marketing analysis for sites.
Requests through Analytics? Could be months before they decide to implement a new feature and have it fully developed, from the user-suggestion POV.
A slight rename of a link can work wonders too. I use a similiar tool in another analytics package and have found that by renaming a few links that were occupying prime real estate I could increase CTR to certain catagories/pages by over 10%.
