It doesn't appear to be real-time update.

Google Analytics give me two models of the update. One model updates once a day. The other was to update continuously for 14 hours a day. So not all my sites in Google Analitycs get the same update. Thank you.

Ok, so google analytics is a couple of hours delay but still it provides an almost accurate info for our sites statistics. I noticed it when I compared one of my blog made in weebly using its own statistics.

    Wrong!
There is not a couple hour delay. It is only updated once a day. At midnight to the timezone you have set in the settings or if you didn't set one it is at 3:00am PST by default.

There are plenty of real time tools out there if that is what you are looking for. Google doesn't see the value in real time data and from a technical standpoint it causes quite a bit of extra work on your server. It is less of a load to summarize data periodically. We deal with this in our product, although we summarize every 10 minutes and give some limited real time data.

yes..GA don't show real time analytic or visitors. you can see your updated stats after one days or couple of hours in Google analytic. If you want to see real time visitors go to statcounter.

I think they are trying to improve on this - I think it also depends on how much data you get. I did see transactions being recorded in Analytics within 30 minutes, which is a huge improvement. They've just bought PostRank, so I reckon they should improve massively soon.

I have 100s of sites with different timezones set and they're all in 1 master account - they all seem to update differently - some are ALMOST real time. Some take a few hours. Some take over a day.

I have read that Google updates every 4 hours and then does a consolidation/check every 24 hours but I think they might be testing it as more real time stats on some accounts...or maybe on smaller/larger accounts they update less/more frequently.

Or maybe even on newer/older accounts they do it more/less frequently!

The data is always at least 3 hours behind on my smaller sites. It is a full 12 hours behind on my largest site.
