Hey... just came across your question here about Google Analytics vs Statcounter. I have experience with both, although I recently use GS. I prefer GS over SC because fo certain reasons: GA is more userfriendly GA provides more clarity in information GA provides information at micro level GA proves to be a better option for affiliates marketers and eCommerce sites.
Google Analytics is better than Stat Counter. Visitors tracking and report creation is easy by using Google Analytics.
Statsconts is good for daily monitoring and Google Analytics is good for more long term in depth reviews of your traffic.
Used both, used statcounter longer (almost 7 years now). I prefer statcounter, but y’know - to each his own.
Hi, I think I have noticed the difference between statcounter and Google Analytics long ago and this is due to different tracking technology and Statcounter gives you option of setting the Maximum Visit Length - Used to calculate your unique and returning visitors from a cookie. If this amount of time or more has elapsed since a visitor last visited a page on your website, then that visitor is considered unique. We recommend setting it between 1 and 6 hours. We don't recommend setting it to 24 hours and above. And by default it is set to 30 min. It might be one of the reasons.
