Google Analytics or Statcounter?

Personally, I use Statcounter. I like it because it updates in real-time (Google Analytics does not update in real-time!).

But what do you guys use for your Websites?

I use Google Analytics because it gives me a lot of data and it easily manages all my sites. Analytics actually gathers data in real time but doesn't display til the end of the day.

You can just select the current day and it will show your stats.

I like statcounter because its a "neutral" company and does not belong to the search engines. Otherwise they are pretty similar i think.

Stat counter because google analytics code sometime can't be verified and that sucks.

StatCounter, for exactly the same reason as yours. Real time is actually stats, otherwise won't we just see our website on alexa?
But Analytics is fun, it shows a lot of information, might be bloated for some, but it's actually good. Now only if it was real time.

Best solution is to use both of them.

I think analytics should have an option to make public statistics from website and ask a fee for it.

Google Analytic is best because it have a lot of thing that you can know from where you get traffic from from which you get search engine traffic every thing

Google analytics obviously, it will gives you a lot of option to filter you data and set a goal, funnel and many more apart from that statcounter is also very nice but for very little website data only.

well i'd recommend google analytics, coz it implicitly sends website stats report to adsense, by using this tool of google, u can secure ur adsense account. (about 50%)

I prefer statcounter because of its real time stats information. The only drawback is the log limit, around 500. I use analytics too but rarely check in on it.
