    Both are providing same information more or less till today.
    now depends on you that how much you are familier with.
    I advice if you have low visitors than you use SC else google is better.

    Google Analytics is better agreed. But Stat counter came long back. And when google didnt started with analytics it was stat counter. Well till i start using both of them can't say results..

    Who told you that? I run both on some of my sites with no problem, and some others are monitored from 3 different analytics account.

    ..as far as i'm aware only GA can import cost data from adwords, allowing you to see the ROI on each of your phrases. I'm pretty sure statcounter cant do this..

    To be honest I dont find the delay a big issue, its much better than a lot of paid systems and all of the free systems i've tried..

    Google anaytics is the best you can get for free, think about they have the money, the search engine, and the bots to deliver all the quality data.

    GA has earned trust of so many people that it is almost impossible to replace this giant, as far as its competitors are concerned they are also not bad, just works fine
