Google Analytics has a nicer interface, so it would look a bit more impressive, IMO

If I was being cynical, I'd show awstats, as it's usually a higher number as it counts hits from bots to the server....
but GA is a more accurate reflection of real traffic, so if I was a buyer, that's what I'd ask to see

Hard choice, but i definitely choose awstats. I like the fact that I dont have to place a java code in my site, and automatically all of the pages are counted for in the stat. Whereas with analytics you must place the code in EACH page.

I agree that Google Analytic is very nice, good and clean interface. But awstats has a lot more data than just traffic such as IP addresses by country, non viewed traffic, etc, plus it's easier to find everything in just one page. Any starter should go with awstat.

Yes but AwStats also count Bot visit too which will not important for buyers and if your site is very popular then you will get more bot hits.

I would prefer Google Analytics as it count real human visits and give proper Search Engine Traffic data.:)

Google analytics is among the best tools that i have used - TO a seller I would only share a screenshot of analytics data rather than giving access. Usually what they really care about is your adsense numbers in order to get a sense of how much advertising revenue your site is making (esp it is one of the gazzillion) content sites out there whose only source of revenue is Google Ad Sense..

Awstats is fairly crappy according to me - recently purchased a site and got google analytics installed on it.. was running it with awstats simultaneously - there is a difference in data (that i think went beyond just bots)

I have always used awstats, but I have been thinking google stats are the way to go when selling because as scept1c said buyers tend to prefer it.
