WTF! It looks like they changed the code that needs to be inserted into each page. This is the new code: <script src="http://www.google-analytics.com/urchin.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> <script type="text/javascript"> _uacct = "ADD YOUR ACCT INFO"; urchinTracker(); </script> PHP: This is BS...they gave me no warning. So awesome that now I guess I lost 1.5 days of tracking data! As Nintendo would say, "Grrrrrrrrrr!" :mad
I've implemented the tags almost 24 hrs ago but no stats are showing. Is it just me? p.s. just noticed "Tracking Unknown" in the Website Profile status field. Guess it's not just me then
Same on my sites. I also tried checking the logs - no hits from google when you check if the code is right.
Rob, I would not post your acct number here. You might get very confusing stats with people doing copy/paste of your code into their sites
First of all, only my mom and wife call me Robbie. And the code I had on my pages before was <script src="/__utm.js" type="text/javascript"></script> Code (markup):
I didn't have any trouble getting it to detect code, after I got it to verify after all the slowdowns and drops.. but I had all my sites set up yesterday afternoon and still no data for any of them.
Did Google officially announce the availability of Analytics, or did somebody stumble upon the site and leak it? Maybe they were not ready to have folks start signing up, which would explain the lack of stats that many or all are seeing.
Also over 24 hours after submitting my first website no results as we speak. Had no trouble with detecting the code in php pages, I implemented some code today in htm pages and didn't work yet.

Several times yesterday I had the "sorry... maintenance screen" may be Google was not prepared to such success and its servers went south. You know what? Urchin for free, I can wait few days to get results and fire my existing log analyser.
