Google Analytics Now Compares Your Traffic With Your Industry

The other day I was poking around Google Analytics and I noticed a new feature in the Benchmarking Tab.

You can now have the data changed to match your industry:


It's a great toll to see how do rate compared to others.

it's should be very interesting for affiliate people.what is that tool try to compare, target traffic or seo?, i am new in analytic

 

It's tracking important metrics like visits, bounce rate, time on site, etc...

 

Hold up? You can check your analytics data against a benchmark for industries? Surely that's kind of retarded, unless it goes deep - one might be in the "auto" industry but sells car cleaning materials, while someone's in the same industry and is a car dealer.

 

Retarded? Are you 8 years old? Anyway, It's not perfect yet, but at least you can narrow it down a bit. Before it was compared to all websites

 

Does anyone know if the benchmarking stats are regional or are they for google global??

I would think they are Global..but you could ask them in their forums
