It looks like Google Analytics is sending out more invites finally. I was on the waiting list for less than a month and got an invite a couple of days ago. I know of another person who got one the same day I did. I can't believe they offer this service for free. The information it provides is invaluable. And you can track up to 5 websites on your account.
I got one too but decided NOT to use it!!! maybe I am just paranoid but why give Google access to all your data? What can they do with it? What are they going to use it for? Is is just a "service" for YOU?? Until I have answers to all this I am NOT letting Google have access to it!
How long did you wait for it? I already registered there for 2 month and didn't got a code Maybe someone got 1 for me? :>
Yeah, they might have access to all of your data but its a small price to pay to get free access to one of the best web analytics programs out there. I highly doubt they will use the information for anything other than providing more relevant search results.
Yeah but I dont think it is something to get worried about. They'll have access to information that will allow them to do their job better. I dont think they are out to get us.
I don't either. I use G-Analytics for one of my sites. But it's very valuable information and they can certainly do a lot w/ it.
I just got an invitation too and started using it. Stuff looks good, although I am really enjoying just using awstats and my web logs. But, the overlay tool in GA is pretty hot to see what links are popular on your site from a visual standpoint.
I also recieved it a couple of days ago. I was thinking when the hell am i going to get an invitation? And then WHAM 2 days later i got an email in my inbox. Activation code. I really have to start thinking like that more often
