From July 29 to 10 th August 2010 google analytics has been hijacked by the website golbnet.com.. If you have any doubts just go to your analytics and check wheather this information is wrong or really important one.. I have found this error for my website which is http://www.thewebdesignmarket.com/design-directory.php

What do you mean it has been hijacked? Are they hacking the statistics or are they planting malicious code?

I think this clown is trying to get publicity. He's promoting a really lame and useless website. Geesh, at least get rid of the default wordpress theme

Golbnet.com is using the utm tags feature of Google Analytics to create spam promoting their various junk web sites.

I have also seen this happen with thebesthosting.org. At least this spam referral is targeting the right kind of people.

If you want to see how to use the Custom Segments feature of Analytics to filter out the spam in your reports, my blog article on Google Analytics Spam shows how. After this point, it just becomes a minor annoyance.

I'd post the link, but it's against forum rules for me to do so. Fair enough. Just google "golbnet.com google analytics spam" and you'll find the blog.

I don't think there is such thing occurred with google analytics and it seems that the guy is trying to promote something for gaining some better publicity to that site.

It looks like this did happen. I mean if their intention was to do this to get people to their website, I have to say it was very creative, but naughty!!!
