Don't see a place that deals specifically with Analytics so I figure this is the best place.

Got my invite today and am wondering peoples comments on it???

Is it worth while? Good Bad??

Is this just another way to control you and possibly use it against you to see what your main words are and force you to pay for adwords instead of natural SERPS???

Eg: This site sells alot of "Umbrelas" Let's push them down in the rankings and put a site that uses Adsense on the top, so this site will pay us to advertise.

    Anybody ever think of that????

    Anyways.....peoples thoughts. Good/Bad

Though I'm hearing a lot of debate about whether it's would actually be a good idea to use Google Analytics at all - because by using it you'd be giving away a LOT of info to Google.

I do use Google Analytics on one of my websites, though and I love it, though I'm considering removing it - anyone has some thoughts on this??

If you have something to hide then don't use it. Otherwise its the best analytics & tracking package I have used.

I quite agree. When Matt Cutts did a review of it on his blog site he received a lot of replies from people concerned with giving their stats to Google -- It you're using black hat techniques it's best not to give Google those statistics, though I'm not sure humans hover over any one persons stats all day just for their personal amusement. Honest persons and site operations will find it to be an in depth piece of stat software that provides a nice GUI, fancy graph and pie chart displays, and very accurate tunnel and traffic analysis :). What could be better?
