I have started to look at Google Analytics.

What exactly should I try to improve on my site and how do I do it?

Right now I have a very high bounce rate. It is about 60-80% - Should I first focus on try to lower this number by improving my headline?

My Avg. Time on Site is 01:43 - Is this "bad" or "good"?

I know what factors I will test such as headline, images, price etc, but how long should the test last so I can see any results from it?

Right now I have like 130 unique visitors/day and 1 sale/week - Should I test like 2-4 factors at the same time instead of just 1 to be able to see any resluts?

depending on what kind of content your site has 1:43 could be a very good thing. When testing i would change 1 thing at a time so if you change 1 you know it is only that that is doing the work but thats my opinion

I have sites with 20% bounce rate and some with 70%. The TYPE of content is important. Sometimes you have sites you WANT people to just click an ad and move on. Sometimes you have a forums where a low bounce rate is important. I do monitor the bounce rate but for every site the goal is different.

Google analytics has a new feature called Benchmarking (it's in beta, obviously) which allows you to compare your site's stats to the stats of other sites in your industry of a similar size.

Of course, as said earlier, you should set goals (such as sales) and aim for those. If a low bounce rate improves sales then aim for a low bounce rate, if the opposite is true then you will want a high bounce rate. It really depends on the type of visitors you get and your goals.

Ok great. Thanks for the response.

When I go to Top Landing Pages I can see what page the visitor has entered.

I want to focus on my index-page. Right now I have several visitors comming to the index-page, but they come from various affiliate hoplinks and they are not counted in to the Index page statistics.

So I got like 100 visitors from 25 hoplinks and like 20 visitors comming directly to the index page. Is it possible in some way to make Google Analytics to take all the visitors from the 25 hoplinks and present that number in the index-page statistc?

Hope you understand what I'm writing :)
