Google analytics: Good tip

    Since I don't see much people talking about this one, I thought to make a small thread on this.

    Lots of you are complaining that Google analytics isn't realtime, that's true, but you can make it go LOTS faster.

    this is how to do it:

    - Open your analytics project
    - In the upper right corner include today's date

    that's it, now you will immediately see the traffic from today.

    Djingel, the data from "today" isn't usually shown when you open Analytics because the data does lag several hours behind "real time". If you change the date to the current one, you aren't actually seeing up-to-the-minute data, and there's no way to know how many hours behind it is.

    nonny is right there is no way to see last hour traffic because google systems analyse all traffic and then show this to its webmaster tools.
    You can know abt visitors by installing software on your site.

    I agree with Nonny. Google Analytics is not real time. FEEDJIT on the other hand offers real time traffic monitoring.

    There's no point looking at todays data as the day hasn't finished so it's inacurate
