Hi, I've spent the last few days promoting my new site by submitting articles to sites like ezine, goarticles and by posting a few comments to some blogs with links. I'm getting around 10 visits a day from this but for some reason most of them are showing as 'Direct Traffic' in Google Analytics? What does this mean? Also, Google Analytics is only aggregated data...is there any free software which can show individual visitor paths? Thanks.
You know what its mean accessing from links in email footers or newsletters without campaign identifications accessing from links in office documents like Word, Excel, Powerpoint, or PDF documents, accessing via server or client redirects (301, meta refresh tags etc.) depending on server or browser settings, accessing from users in very security-restricted environments (no referers passed).......
Maybe some visitor just copy pasted your URL to the address bar.. You can try StatCounter for other overview of your traffic, try Feedjit.com too..
