Google Analytics: Configuring Blog on Subdomain

    Hello,

I have made a blog for a friend and it is on his sub domain. I'd like to have tracking/viewing statistics for the site. I set up the html file in the subdirectory root for the blog and it seems to be configured correctly with google analytics but there are no statistics and I know that isn't the case.

Is it even possible to try and set up analytics just for a subdomain? I don't have ftp access to the main site.

If anyone can help... i'd sure appreciate it!

Google treats subdomains as a completely different domain in terms of tracking and analytics. Are you using a standard blog such as Wordpress?

All you need to do is to setup a new analytics account / profile and insert the newly provided tracking code within your blog footer or the end of the page and tracking will work just perfectly ;)
