Google Analytics (http://www.google.com/analytics/) PRE-POPULATES both the user name field and password fields with my AdSense account information. You would think that they would get it right. Yet when I hit "Sign In", I get an error message - "User Name and Password do not match"!?! When I click on the "Contact Us" button at the bottom right of the page, I get an error page - "Not Found". Looks like another stumbling start-up for a new feature. The information Google inserts in the sign-in fields is my AdSENSE info. I do not have an AdWORDS account. Is an AdWORDS account required? Then why does Google pre-populate the User Name and Password fields with my AdSENSE account signin information, and then reject my login attempt??? .
I'm having problems with the Sign In too... I don't get an error message, but the page won't load (struck in the Redirecting)
yes me too. I guess theres a rush today for the launch. free web analytics is a pretty attractive lure..
The 3 of you seem to be discussing a different problem - general slowness. Let me restate my problem - Is there some reason why my valid AdSense account User Name and Password is being rejected - "User and Pass do not match"? I want in, I want in!
I've had this a few times recently, merely retyping the password in the field clears it, despite the fact the pre-populated password was correct. I've had it with Gmail and Adsense.
I have got no problem Signing-in. and yes you need to enter yout G-Account user name and password, not Adsense user name and password.
Ahhh. I guess that I need to get a "Google account" then. But the question remains - why does Google stick my Adsense user and Pass into the sign-in fields? Apparently, this is just plain WRONG! Because it sure does not work! So, why do they do it?
HA! I agree though; the way Google is handling this is annoying. Now everytime I want to log into an Adwords account I have to log out of gmail and urchin first! (BTW- Surf_Dude, you look like Fat Mike)
From Google - "Thank you for your email. We are in the process of updating our existing customer accounts to the newly launched Google Analytics service. As a result, you may not be able to access your Analytics account or sign up for a new account. This temporary outage may continue through the day as we finish this one-time update. We apologize for the outage and appreciate your patience. We expect to have everything turned back on shortly." Good enough. I'll keep trying. Thanks for the help, Rob. Perhaps you should say, "USED TO look like Fat Mike". The picture is 35 years old! Ha-ha-ha-ha-hah! The "fat" part rings true, though!
hi friend, if you want to open account in google analytics you should have gmail account after you can easily open account.
