I'm trying to see peak times my keywords get clicked throughout the course of a day, but I can't seem to find this functionality in Analytics. Is there some kind of feature that might get me data close to what I'm aiming for here?
Good question. I haven't been able to find it yet, but it would be nice to find trends, such as peak periods. It would be handy for Adwords and the like.
No, I'm refering to creating a report that will tell me when the majority of people are using my keywords to get to my site (i.e. 85% between 9:00am - 5:00pm for "widget"). I am trying to optimize some of my costs in a few campaigns and I want to see if using a time span will make any significant impact (as I think it will). However, I have no sound data to base the time frame on and I would hate to guess and check.
There's no way to my knowledge...why they didn't include this feature is beyond me. I've been wanting this for a long time, it's pretty important to any advertiser to see their hourly stats...
For those sites I need more granularity than what google provides I typically use mint (http://haveamint.com), which breaks the day down into hourly chunks. It's well worth the $30.
