Google Analytics bounce rate - Problem

    Hi DPs,

I have doubt in Google Analytics,

If a web page having all links are opened in new tab,
If a visits comes to that page and click on any link and visit that page,
also closing the entrance page. Does Google Analytics count the 100% bounce rate or 0% bounce rate for that entrance page.

    Thanks
    Siyamythew

Though I have bit less knowledge about this still I don't think so. Since all the pages are kept open on the same PC, I think the IP address will be same and the amount of time these pages are open decides the ounce rate.

Since you have managed that person to visit your various pages from same ip and for quite some duration of time, the performance is supposed to increase.

But it is better that you take suggestions from other people also as I m not expert abt this.

That is not the case. Even if you open new pages in a new tab, the visit count does not increase rather it remains the same. So as long as the visitor remains on the site no matter how many pages he opens and closes, the bounce rate changes accordingly.

it still calculate as one traffic only . It the tab they open still the same domain , then the time is still calculate. Unless the tab open is other domain name then the bounce rate will calculate.

Traffic is calculated only one even though you open in new tab because you are using the same domain.

It totally depends on the purpose of your website. If you are selling a product and doing well, what's wrong with 70% bounce rate? If you operate a newspaper website, that's totally different story.
