Google analytics And WordPress?

Hi:
Dear DP members:

I had an account with google analytics,i had cut the code and put them at my WP theme : footer files,if that's enough ?
Do i need add analytic plugin for my wordpress blog ?

There are plenty of plugins available for the job.

Just install the plugin and in the options (settings in 2.5) page insert the code accordingly for your analytics... simple stuff really.

 

I didn't use a plugin when I installed google analytics on my blog, but I ended up placing the code in a few different places before I was satisfied it was workng correctly. I have mine placed in my sidebar and I compare it to the results statcounter gives me.

Analytics isn't real time though, so give it a day or two before fiddling about too much.

 

No plugin necessary. Just put the code in your footer.php somewhere before the </body> tag.
