Google Analytics and tracking Redirects

    Does anyone know if GA will count redirects as 2 visits?

    So if some goes to X.com, which directs to Y.com. Does Google get pinged twice, once on each page, or once?

    If it's a 301 or 302 server side redirect, then it counts as one, to the final destination url.
    If it's a meta refresh, then it may count as 2, if the period of time is sufficient for the tracking script to load.
