Does anyone know if an easy way to integrate Google Analytics into phpld so it tracks purchases and such? Such that if a user buys a featured link or a regular link or whatever the case may be. This would be great to be able to easily implement with goals and such so people could do PPC marketing via adwords and track the conversions accordingly. I have my directory at domain.com/directory/ which makes it a bit more tricky, but does anyone have some more information this? I would love to get this working together. Thanks.
I would imagine that putting the analytics code into the payment.tpl *ONLY*, would suffice for what you're currrently looking for. I guess you could always set up a specific channel for that one too, and have analytics all throughout as well. Rob
I'm looking for something that is fully integrated though, that tracks hits, impressions (the easy stuff) and then specific goals for featured links and regular links for the amount, conversion ratios, etc. something a lot more indepth to track the purchase process...
analytics does show the path process no? I havent touched analytics in a long while, but i do recall it having the ability to see the breadcrumb to the processed page. where they come in at, what keywords, etc etc
Yes, but you're still missing my point. It takes specific terms and REGEX to get it working properly to track the whole process through goals. That's what I don't know how to do, but maybe David does. I'm hoping someone here has figured out how to do it and would kindly share the process to get it all working together properly... Also with setting up something such as the "success" page that Paypal brings you back to and then have that counted as the last step in the goal to complete the transaction. That kind of setup. I just don't know how to completely get it working myself.
What I would suggest you do is try and message Boby, to see if he can lend some suggestive info on this. regex is not my most favorable of things to help out with. I honestly cant stand mod rewrite, and regex is like its brother in arms. Just realize that this most likely will not be something provided for free. good luck with what you're trying to accomplish.
