Google Analytics and Adsense Statistics?

    Hello,

I recently started to use Google Analytics. So far, I like it a lot. Easy to use, great info. But I don't think the numbers are accurate. I am also using AdWords to try to get some traffic to the site. Note, I have attached AdWords to the account...

Google Analytics seems to be inaccurate when it comes to traffic coming from AdWords or Google (organic). Reason being, if I use the search terms that are under "organic", my website won't even come up in the top 100 for the keywords. So, how is it showing up?

Just wondering if others have run into these issues to try to better understand my stats.

    Thanks!

Try some really long phrases, like your page's title, so that your page comes up on top. Click on it and see in a day or two if it shows up in Analytics. There have been some reports of inaccuracy, especially compared to other tracking results, but I haven't personally tested mine.

Yeah, I've found that Adsense traffic gets mixed in and throws off the organic traffic results. Annoying!

Yeah, I only care about the organic -- I can get the AdSense results by checking the campaign -- LOL! I will turn off the AdSense for a few days I guess to see what happens. If they are truly organic, I will be pleased, but I really don't think so.

I hope that it isn't flawed like that. It seems like a great source to monitor traffic results for free!
