Is there a delay on google analytics because I am running another web counter on the same page and I am getting much different numbers, in terms of the amount of visitors, page impressions, and return visitors.
yes there is a delay.. For me it's almost exactly 3 hours - which coincidentally (not!) is almost the exact same delay in Adwords click-reporting.. in the past other members have posted that their Analytics delay is only 30 or 45 minutes, but mine has been almost exactly 3 hours for 10 months now.. Once in a while (like a few days ago) the delay can stretch to over 1 or 2 days..
The stats for 11pm ALWAYS only show up at the afternoon the next day or even later for me, even though the stats for 1am and later times are already there. Sometimes it's also for other hours of the day, like 4pm has nothing and then 5pm has the normal stats. Am I beta testing a new version of Analytics or is someone else experiencing the same thing?
I've noticed the last 3 hours of the day don't update until late into the next day. Just started happening recently.
Just to check - you guys know that you can click on the current days date in the calender section to show the most up to date (well, delayed) stats for that day right? And as an additional note - mine seems to have a 4 hours delay.
