Google Analytic Visits going down?

    Hey guys,
I checked my analytic account a few days ago, and I have 1001 visits in total.
And then i checked yesterday and I had 995 visitors in total.
Now this morning I have 994, I didn't mess around with my site at all, because I wasn't even in town and didn't even touch my site, I have no clue what it going on.

Could it have something to do with the maintenance on adsense and adwords somehow?

I have no clue what is going on, has anyone ever ran into this problem?

    Thanks for your help.

you read it wrong, I only have about 15 people a day come to my site, so yes, I am trying to keep every single one that I can and trying to increase my traffic.

And those aren't my daily stats, it is my all-time stats.

This means that the TOTAL number of visitors i once had, is going down, but it should go up daily (or atleast stay the same)

James your first post was not very clear. I assumed those were your daily stats as well. Really you shouldn't be worried about losing stats for 7 visitors, regardless if it is daily traffic or all time traffic. 7 people out of 1000 is not important.

Google Analytics is not perfect. There are glitches and data is not always consistent. It is free though. So you just have to accept that there may be small issues with the stats. If you need more precise analytics software, you would likely have to use paid software.

If this remains a problem you might consider switching over to another free stats program, statcounter.com. You'll have to insert the code into each page just like you do with Analytics.

I'm not sure if I'm reading your issue correctly but maybe this could be the explanation.

Google looks at the month gone by when you first log into analytics so each day the total number of visitors will be different. Yesterday you will be viewing Feb 14 - Mar 16, today it will be Feb 15 - Mar 17 and so if you have less visitors across the period it will show less total visitors.

This is not your total number of visitors...it is the total number of visitors in the last 30 day period. That's why it changes every day.

By default Google analytics shows visits for 1 month. If you want to view you overall traffic, change dates for reports as needed.
