I use www.linkmarket.net for free link exchange reciprocal third party. They have now some customers, and it seems serious and effective. Most all my reciprocal I got from there. Also don't try to bet everything on google's changes. This is not the only search engine available and on internet like in real life, things change fast.
A reciprocal link exchange is generally looked down upon by Search Engines. Links which are counted as votes in this case is more like a symbiotic relationship - give and take. Hence the relevancy factor loses weight and hence therefore affects search results. Whereas in three way link exchange or triangular link exchange, search engines cannot trace this relationship. It essentially remains the same but hidden from the eyes of Search Engines.
