Can anybody help me on what factors Google algo works?
how does it performs search, display results and assign page ranks??
How should we optimize our site for google?

Absolutely funny - the legal eagle at my co asked me if there was a way of hacking into google to get the algo. I nearly did a spit-take with my coffee --- yah, right. I'm sure there is, but I certainly don't know how to do it. I suggested dressing him up like a Ninja and lowering him by cable into the Great Google Data Core.

I have an easier way to find out, and it'll cost a lot less than $10,000,000 :D...

    1. First download Google Earth and zoom into the Google Campus in Mountain View, California.
    2. Ok, now zoom as much as you can and get the license plate number off of one or multiple cars in the parking lot.
    3. Now track down the Name(s) and address(es) of the car owner(s).
    4. The last and crucial step... Kidnap and torture them until they give you the algo :D

There you go a foolproof (well almost) way of getting the algo and ruling the serps forever!

:D Good idea, but unrealizable. Indeed we might never solve the G algoritm enigma but we certainly know what can positively influence positioning...

    Sure.

Old domain (4 years or more is best)
Thousands of backlinks with relevant "all-in anchor text"
Thousands of backlinks from .edu domains
Thousands of backlinks from high PR sites (PR3 or better)
The older the backlinks the better

Now all you have to do is figure out how to get all of those things without getting banned or outed by your competition. :)

Build a good quality, useful content/service website that people will want to link to. For example, look at what a relatively new site like youtube has managed to achieve.
