Google Algorithm change - 16 October - rankings dropped

Hi

I have quite a few different sites. 2 of them have been up and running for about 3 years.

On 16 October I noticed that both of them had quite a big drop in traffic (google analytics). Since then, the traffic has been stead - at the lower level

they are both hosted on the same shared server.

does anyone know if and what changes Google may have made on or around 15 or 16 October ?

All my sites dropped. I was lazy to update them, now i am paying the price.

 

I guess, your website is hit by Panda... There was algorithm tweaking somewhere around October 13th (I am not sure about the exact date).
So, scan your website content and try to locate shallow content and replace it with some informative pages.

 

same happened with my site too. traffic dropped and now only 10% of the daily traffic is coming...

 

2 sites were dropped on 16 oct

 

Yea a heap of my older sites got hit, though most of them were auto blogs that I never use anymore.

 

I think those sites that has higher authority and reputation remains strong, but still many are being hit, even those who deserve ranking yet lack of authority..

 

Panda 2.5 update was rolled out on Oct 13/14.

 

1 site was dropped ,too . It is hard to love Google ....
