Found this great tricks to keep abreast on when your site get indexed.

Everyone know that when googlebot comes to your site, your pages are not index right a way. Usually only the main url is indexed.

There is an easy way to check when new pages get indexed without going to google all the time and checking with site: command.

Here's how to set it up.

    Go to http://www.google.com/alerts
enter site:yourdomain in the Search terms field.
    select Web
    select As it happens
    enter your email address.

When any pages in the domain are added to the index, you'll receive an email informing you of that. You'll only get email when new pages are index.

A great way to keep track of things without any work.

    Hope this help someone.

I use it to check link update, use link:mydomain.com - currently it sends me an email a couple of days after the update has completed.

Clever. I've set it up for my sites.

One problem: this post doesn't belong here. :)

I also use google alert to check my backlinks. I got an email today from google alert with the new websites that are linked to mine. It works very well.

Yes, link command can be use also. Any command that you can use for search can be used.

For link command, you'd use link:http://www.yourdomain instead.

Moderator, please move to main Google forum. Sorry, post in wrong section.

That's cool - I already had a google news alert for my last name (which is fairly unique), but boy, this opens up a whole new dimension - thanx!

I've seen this before but it never even crossed my mind that I could monitor my own site. Thanks for the great tip! :)
