Google Alert notice

I use Google Alert to monitor competitors as well as my own online activities.

Everyday, I could receive alert notice of my competitors, some of them just a blog post or their SEO article submission.

However, I have been working on SEO article submissions for 2 month. But there is no notice of my own online activity. Even I post articles on my own blog with the keyword, there is no Google alert notice.

Anybody knows why? Thanks

 

I dont know why but I wouldnt worry too much about it as I too never get a Google Alert when I use my keywords on my postings.

 

maybe google is not finding your articles. are the articles you are submitting getting indexed?

 

i actually don't know. That's the thing i am worried about. Do you guys submit all sites for google to index on a regular basis?
i've never submitted anything for google to index. I think in old days maybe we should. But nowadays Google is sophisticated enough

 

Hi, Check whether the sites you are posting are do-follow.

 

Check out the setting of your profile. that might reveal why you are not getting the notification.
