Google AdWords vs Natural/Organic Results

    I have started my own survey through surveymonkey.com and want you guys to take part in this survey, I think this will help us a lot.

    It's an interesting subject to do a survey on - but results from here will be completely unrepresentative. I'm very aware that if I click I'm costing someone money, so out of respect, I tend to extract the url from the source if I see something interesting.

    I agree with you but I just wanted to know how much valuable is to do SEO of a website to let it appear in Organic results.

    I want to know that Organic Results can generate more revenue/traffic for a site than AdWords.

    You should have a Less than 10% option in there. I'm not sure this survey will help or prove anything. I just don't think people know what percentage of ads they click on. It's not something most people would keep track of or even have an inkling until someone asks them. A lot still don't know they are clicking on ads and might say 100% just because they click on something pretty much every time they do a search.

    SEO has value. Anything that gets traffic has value. From limited experience with a couple of clients, if the same keywords used in PPC also results in a top half of first page in the organic results, the ad typically gets a bit more than half the clicks the organic listing does. I don't know the sales figures but I suspect they both have sensibly the same conversion rate although I would tend to give PPC a slight edge. Assuming 50/50 or close to it, they are both equal in generating revenue. Doing one over the other means you make only half the money and profits you would otherwise.

    tricks2, how can you get taffic from SEO after only a week's effort? If you could do this for me and for reasonable money, let's discuss that.
