Hello, Is there anyone on here using adwords noticed a server delay reviwing new added keywords to any adgroups? cuz i have just added some new keywords to one of my adgroups and it doesn't trigger my ads yet or show any impressions (Zero impressions). I clicked on keyword analysis magnifying glass button and it show one of the reason is either server delay from their part or it will take a while for new keywords to go through the review process.. I'm new to google adwords, but i did researched and read alot of information before i start, and i'm not sure how long time does it normally takes for the new added keywords to get reviewed, hours or minutes? and does it get reviewed manually or using some sort of scripts? thats in case it wasn't some server issues google adwords have and also in case it's not about low search volume for some keywords. P.S. i have added 17 new keywords at once under one adgroup triggering only one ad copy. and all my keywords are active and have "Great" Quality Score. also my campaign and adgroup is active. also does the daily budget affect this situation? maybe it was the reason, not sure.. or it's just because i added alot of new keywords gradually in a period of few hours under the same adgroup? (which i will manage to separate them later in different adgroups but first i wanted to see which is performing well and which is not to save some time.) and does the adword impressions and click stats are shown in real time or they normally have delay too? and for how long.. Sorry for the too many questions, but a reply to any of them will be Greatly appreciated... Thanks,
adwords has a 3 - 4 hour delay to show your stats. If they are new keywords, make sure you have enough budget and also be sure your bidding high enough to actually show up on the first page
There are always delays. Get a live traffic program if you want to see how quick the keywords are working. Good luck. -Patz
Like what the two people above mentioned, there will always be a delay of a few hours for adding new keywords. Relax and let time do its work.
Thanks so much robert, patzer and kuchiyose for the replies.. Robert, ok i got the idea, thanks alot, i assume you mean i bid higher @ first to get good CTR, since my ad will show in first page (no matter 1, 2,3,4.. position) and also get a good and quality historical data then later lower my minimum bid again, am i right understanding this tactic? btw, my daily budget is $1.00 as a start and all my keywords are either exact or phrase match with a minimum CPC range from $0.03 and $0.04 or $0.05 max and they all have a great quality score so far like i mentioned earlier after doing some optimizations for my compaign. so i guess it's a good and optimistic start for me as my first practical day, but i still need to add more and better keywords. i did read many e-books, blogs, articles..etc earlier over the last couple of weeks but this is my first practical experience. and i have another question for u robert please, my current keywords are kinda strict, what about very high competition keywords, does they perform well? regarding impressions and conversions? i did read that me as a beginner i should use exact match at first, but what about phrase or broad match for very competitive keywords, i know my ad might appear in 3rd or fourth page..etc but will they have any impressions? and if they did, does those few impressions convert well at least or worth it at all? patzer, can you give me an example of a live traffic program like you mentioned or what exactly you mean by it please? and is it free? (and do u mean by a "program", software or service?) cause i googled it and found nothing.. maybe you are referring to a third party adword tracking or something but if it has a feature of showing how quick my new keywords are going to trigger ads..etc it will be cool. Thanks!
