Google Adwords says XXX amount of clicks, Traffic Stats from Godaddy says XX

So I'm using Adwords to get traffic and awareness to one of my sites and right now I'm sitting at 110 clicks with a price tag of about 10 dollars! The issues is when I look at my traffic stats from Godaddy and go back from this whole period I only see 80 clicks that I can vouch for. Is it possible Traffic stats missed theses clicks from Google and if so could I be possibly be missing other clicks too? (hits)

Another idea is Google might be incorrect. What are the chances that Google is over charging me for invalid clicks. Do they watch for this, I know there busy watching webmasters for this reason maybe they don't have time for me lol.

Well there's a discrepancy here and I don't know what to do really. I guess for now I will continue monitoring and contact Godaddy to ensure their java script traffic fact would in fact pick up the hits.

    What's your thoughts?

Godaddy may have not updated the stats yet, people may have clicked and then left before loading the site, etc.

You could also have your tracker right at the </body> tag so if a visitor came by a accidental click for example.
And the hit the back button right away. It wouldn't load that tracker if the browser didnt get to parse the entire page's html. If you understand what I mean.

Yeah I never thought about that! Good point! One thing I do know is my budget is set so low that the amount of possible clicks needed couldn't add up. I have real time stats running! So at most that explanation would only bring the total clicks up to 101 not 111 I can only get maybe 20 clicks a day!

The java script is on the landing page and is in a pligg.php file I'm not too sure regarding an answer for this one. It does make perfect sense!

But that technically should be an invalid click right?

Yeah, I agree. Many people are impatient with websites. If they click your ad but your server was busy for a moment, they may not have wanted to wait more than say, 6 or 8 seconds for a page to load. If they blow it off and move on, then Google counted the click while your server never really got to account for the traffic.

Plus the two servers may be in different time zones. Which means one may have started counting "the days" clicks at a certain hour while the other server didn't start counting clicks until two hours and 30 some clicks later.

If fact, I would be very surprised if they ever matched exactly. I doubt Goggle is ripping you off. I wouldn't worry about it.

    Yes good point!

The only thing is the site isn't slow it's very speedy with no problems. I can understand maybe 10 or 15 clicks off but 31 clicks is retarded and maybe unacceptable even to me!

In a ratio it would be 300 clicks off 1100 so it's not so acceptable when it's put this way is it. Imagine 10,000 it's like being off 3300

In this case its alittle wierd, but is it possible,

google stats show 110 visitors, and only 80 of them where unique visits, and godaddy stats is only counting uniques.

uniques being - different people visiting your site

    Just another possibility.

Very good point. If we take a look at all the suggestions so from all the posters, add them all together for reasons why it's off, the results would probably be where I'm sitting right now.

I would assume but assumptions aren't reliable!
