Google Adwords Review Times

Discussion in 'Google AdWords' started by JaysonGray, Aug 26, 2006.

I have a client who's having to wait up to 2 weekds for his Adwords account to be reviewed every time he alters his text ad or adds new keywords.

    Anyone had similar experiences?
    Thanks

No, that seems a very long time to wait. Do the ad's stop running every time an edit is made?

Yes every time. We've emailed Google on a number of occasions (who take around five days to reply) and they say the same thing...

"...we have to manually approve the ads before they go live. I've just done that so they're up and running now..." Etc etc

Next time the client edits them..... !! they stop running again and have to go for approval. He's spending more time off air than on.

Its adult based (nothing pornographic just plastic bits and bobs if you know what I mean) but I can't see why that would make such a difference.

I find it incredible Google would manually approve ads like this.

It must be because of the subject, I would guess that they are worried about the content or ad text becoming pornographic so are having to manually check everytime rather than automatically approve the changes.

I don't really know what to suggest to speed this up though.

For now I've advised him to run 2 or more campaigns in tandem so at least when ones under review the others are running.

I guess he'll have to live with that until something better crops up.

    Thanks for the feedback
