Hello, I am running a campaign, taget market is india specially delhi. I was thinking my ads are showing only on google(dot)co(dot)in but it also shows on google(dot)com. Why this happens... Waiting for your reply guys... Thanks
Because its Google Network. So if you want to change something Then go to Target Location or Geo Settings
If you have setup your targeting area as Delhi then it will display to only users from Delhi from all his search networks.
Thanks for your valuable information...As you know that i am targeting Delhi, still getting PPC traffic from Bangalore, Pune, Hyderabad and all... My Campaign has location: 50 km around Delhi, 110001, IN
If this doesn't work out in a day or two, contact Google for support. They are actually very helpful when it comes to geo issues.
Hey, this is normal issue when you setting up your Adwords campain. The reason is someone from UK,US or anywhere go to Google.com and search keywords that containing "Delhi" word. For example, "Delhi hotels", "Delhi food" or "Delhi vacations" . Google believe that they may be your potential customers so they display your ads with those people. I think you should not worry about that. It's still a customer-oriented marketing for your campaign
yes, if you want target only delhi area or Google.co.in then you need to set Geo Settings.Depending on the delivery option you've set, your ad delivery may be spread out ... Geo-Targeting You've targeted your campaign to specific locations. If you don't target your own geographical area, you might not be able to see your ad.
I guess depends on the type of your visitors. I have oversea clients who prefer their employees to use "www.google.com/en" instead of just entering "www.google.com". The first url redirects you to Google USA, second one redirects you to local Google. A lot of my India Google traffic comes from "Google.com" instead of "Google.co.in" too
The only option I know is also what is mentioned above, to have it targeted in you geo area . This has worked for me and my traffic has appeared to be mainly coming from the appropriate areas with some exceptions of course.
