Google Adwords Question? Is It possible to only pay .01 cents/per click

Hi. I am thinking about using google adwords to get more exposure for my website. I know that google adwords is very expensive and competitive. I could just do social networking, but I wanted to use a 'set it and forget it' approach to business. I don't want to pay more than .01 cents per click and I know the best way to do this is to choose a low competition word. Is there anyone who was able to slip by paying only .01 cents per click and if so, how long did you start seeing results (conversion rates/sales)? Thanks in advanced.

I have never been abl to get an impression when I set max at less than 0.15 in my niche and therefore have not been able to get a 0.01 cent/per click. That is my experience

Getting a cost that low isn't just about lack of competition, it's about Quality Score and Click through Rate. It is possible to get cheap clicks, but it's very unlikely that you can start a campaign that low, you need to try things out, tweak and refine to keep your costs low

Not if you want to target western countries. You can get 0.01 a click if you target third world markets like China or India.

I've always been able to get the best prices in content network campaigns as opposed to search campaigns. The CTR is much lower, but who cares if you're just looking for cheap 'junk' traffic.

My best conversion rates come from higher priced, targeted keywords, which may cost more per click, more than make up for it with higher conversions.

No its not possible now. Google has been criticized for this that if there is no competitor then cost per click should be minimum but quality score is the glitch that will not allow you to get click at $0.01.
